WPCG Corporate Responsibility
In February, 2007, WPCG launched a Corporate Responsibility (CR) Program. Our goal is to redefine our role as a stakeholder in the local and national community while ensuring that WPCG's contribution as a global citizen is fostered as the organization grows. We are documenting our procedures as we go, as well as using principles from established groups, so that in the future our efforts in this area can be applied to other departments or even other companies.
Why Corporate Responsibility?
The WPCG CR Program will create an awareness of the financial, environmental, societal, and energy constraints within which we operate as an organization and as individual employees. This awareness was created by bringing groups of 4-6 employees together on a weekly basis to discuss and evaluate a particular constraint and its impact on our current business process, future profitability, and general well-being. The idea is for each participant to understand their role as a global citizen, and to see how they personally can find harmony with the world around them.
Through creating this awareness we form ethical opinions and develop methodologies for office initiatives which reflect our values and environmental perspectives.

CR in the Future
WPCG intends to use our CR endeavors to lead the way for other small-to-medium-sized businesses. Our programs to reduce and reuse resources will save our organization money overall. We can then use that money as capital for more expensive projects. Eventually we hope to have a self-sustainable system that pays for itself while it improves the world around us. We will promote awareness and understanding, and provide philosophical growth opportunities for our employees, while still maintaining our business objectives.
